Hello and welcome! Thank you so much for your interest in my work.
At a very young age, I knew that I wanted to help people heal through the emotional pains that life inevitably brings. I was called to reach for higher education when I was in my mid 20’s after healing from debilitating depression and anxiety. When western medicine could not help me feel better, I turned to the spiritual teachings I had been given to understand the true nature of my suffering. Through the power of meditation, positive affirmations, and a deeper awareness of my true potential, I realized that the power to heal myself lives within me. Yoga had been a part of my life from the age of 17, so when the opportunity presented for me to attend yoga teacher training, I knew it was the right choice. In 2015, I received my RYT-200 yoga teacher certification which deepened my appreciation and understanding of the importance of connecting to the body’s wisdom for healing change.
After attaining my Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work in 2017, and working in both domestic violence and community mental health, I began to appreciate different therapeutic modalities that utilized working with the mind and its cognitive abilities to alleviate disorder and dis-ease. Realizing that most dis-eases and dis-orders of the mind and body often have their origins in emotionally painful experiences that often stem from past trauma, and that pain and emotional turmoil remain in the body well after the initial painful experience, it occurred to me that a dualistic approach to healing the mind, body, and soul was in order. Integrating western psychology and eastern philosophy and practice is an effective approach that changes the way individuals experience healing. The mind/body/soul healing modality is a way to arrive at this place of transfiguration and transformation that we are all looking to experience. You are more than a body and more than a mind.
I currently teach yoga and practice as a Self-Love Coach.
In my private practice, I offer individual talk therapy as well as yoga therapy for grief & loss, post-traumatic stress disorder, childhood abuse, trauma recovery, depression, anxiety, anger, and stress management.
